Spring is a popular time to buy and sell a house, BUT WHY?


1. Supply and Demand: Spring is when most people want to start looking to buy a house,

which means a Seller is more likely to get more interest in their house, more offers,

higher selling prices, and a quicker sale. When more houses are for sale, buyers have

more choices. And more buyers give sellers the potential for multiple offers and higher

prices.  


2. The Weather: The weather is nicer, and nature is coming alive again. Mornings are

brighter and the nights are longer. We all start to come out of our winter slumber and get

motivated for reaching our home ownership goals.


3. Timing: Buyers who go under contract in March, April and May are closing in April,

May and June. That aligns nicely with the end of the school year and the ideal moving

weather. This timing allows buyers to settle into their homes in time for summertime fun

and to move their kid's schools if needed before the new school year starts.


What if you are not ready to sell this Spring? The best time to sell is when it is right for you and your financial situation and timing. Houses sell all year long, no matter the season! With

predicted stable mortgage interest rates for 2024, and a low supply of housing, Buyers are still out there buying all year long, and need your house to buy!
